STEP 1: Set Up the Fan and Fix the Mount Tabs
Lay the fan on top of the radiator where it needs to go. Now take the 4 black plastic mount tabs from your kit and push them into the 4 slots on the fan.
Pro tip: Pick the 4 slots that make an X shape—this keeps the radiato fan super stable!
Next, line up the holes on the mount tabs with the thin mesh of the radiator. Try to center each hole so they sit right over the mesh. Now push a plastic rod through the mesh, making sure it goes between two coolant tubes.
Important: Don’t let the plastic touch the coolant tubes—this could cause leaks!
There are 2 top slots, 2 bottom slots, and slots on the sides, but you usually only need the 4 slots in the X pattern for a solid fit. If you need to use other slots, just make sure the radiato fan stays balanced!
Step 2: Securing the Mount Tabs
Now that all 4 tabs are in place, put a foam pad under each tab hole. This helps cut down on shaking and noise. Next, take a spring and fit it over the tab—like this. Then grab a zip-tie strap and push it through the radiator from the back.
When the strap pokes out the front, pull it tight to hold everything in place. Do this for all four corners, making sure the radiato fan stays straight and isn’t being pulled too tight (you don’t want it to bend or strain).
Just keep an eye on the fan as you tighten each strap—you want it snug but not stressed!
Step 3: Finish Up and Lock It In
Now look at the front of the radiator—you’ll see the 4 plastic rods (from the zip-tie straps) sticking out. Put a foam pad on each rod first. Then take a plastic clip (kinda like a lock washer) and slide it down the rod. Push it until you hear TWO clicks— that means it’s locked tight!
The spring on the backside will squish a little, which keeps the fan held firm without being too tight.
Last thing: snip off the extra plastic strap length with wire cutters or scissors so nothing’s sticking out.
That’s it—you’re all done!
Post-Installation Checks
Before you start your engine, take a minute to perform these crucial checks:
Give the fan a gentle shake to ensure there's no wobbling or strange noises.
✅ Inspect the coolant tubes carefully to make sure none of the installation components are pinching or damaging them.
✅ Start your car and monitor the fan to confirm it's running smoothly and the engine temperature remains stable.
